I direct a film about a headhunter

In this, my first full-length feature, I have brought to life an episode based entirely on my own experience. Telling the shocking true-life story of a traumatic visit to a headhunter in 2006, this smash-hit movie is set to be a favourite amongst adults and children alike.

You are cinematic genius. Hitchcock, Bergman and Welles have nothing on you.

All you need now is to get some people then your people can talk to other people's people and set up meetings to talk to the other people. I believe this is how it works in the film industry.

My people are so excited they have lost the power of speech. I am not sure this is going to serve my interests well. Fingers crossed!

Awesome video - I'm trying to make one myself even now... reminded me of another site I think you might find amusing:

WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO ME? WHY? Oh god.

The teddy bear-like creatures are confusing, and there's no fez or pipe to be seen. Perhaps you had left them at home in case of making a bad impression. Although being told you are virtually unemployable would make you wish you had brought them, if only as small weapons.

In the real life story, we ended up getting drunk and she sold me a Ghost coat for £80.

Chilling. Hitchcock would have sold his shriveled soul (discounted mind you) for that eerie refrain "ver'chewally unemployable... ver'chewally unemployable." My entire day is going to be haunted. It's brilliant!

Bravissima, NWM! Will this be the first in a series - like Star Wars set in approximately Japanese-inspired headhunters' offices?

Megan - I had no idea that I was that talented either. I surprise myself non-stop all the time!

Y S Lee - good news, my friend, there is A WHOLE SERIES that is in development. I think you will like them. But now, to the website referred to above by Special K, whose cunning plan is I think to get me to waste up to and including five hours a day.

Srsly, NWM, I hope you're right. I had exactly that attitude last year and lo! I have worked two out of the last nine months, and those not in a nice place at all. They tell me now that you have to be not only a 'Professional' but also a 'Specialist' to get any kind of work at all; that is, you must not be able to do EVERYTHING, but only ONE thing. (Bearing in mind that when I say everything I still only mean Comms & Marketing. Not like marketing, plumbing and cake decorating.)

And of course the more different things you try to do (write your web copy, teach you how to write for the web, edit your ms, produce a publication) to get some money coming in, the more they say to you: 'But, what would you say is your MAIN THING?'

Still, I suppose the good thing about Montreal is that it probably isn't having as bad a recession as filthy-old-banker-ridden London.

You have broken the fourth wall, possibly even made a small indentation in the fifth wall too. I am amazed.

Darling Ms B, you sound flattened...I trust this weekend revives you a little. But in reply ... I don't think the recession is nearly as bad here, but there is a much, much smaller pool of jobs. Really for me though is all as nothing 'cos I can't work anyway..and I'm still trying to work out what to do, apart from make magnificent animated films etc.

LutraLutra, what walls are you talking about? I am IN THE DARK!
