Expressions I think should be used more often (by everyone)

"And you can put that in your pipe and smoke it."

"Calme-toi le pompon, ostie."

"Tell him to go pound it."

"You'd be sorry if I were dead."

"Whatevs."

"I'm sorry. Did you say something?"

"Get back to work."

"La la la, I can't hear you."

"Who just joined?"

"Poke it."

"What is WRONG with you?"

"What. Have. We. Become."

"What have YOU become?"

"OK. I'm going to go get a tiny little gay coffee now."

The use of the subjunctive always gives me a little thrill of happiness.

Subjunctive thrills would be an excellent grammar-based acid rock band.

I am personally enamoured of that last phrase which is totally new to me. This surprises me as I lived in the Bay Area for several years and had friends with Miatas.

just tell me what calming your pompom has to do with everything and I'll die happy.

EVERYTHING has something to do with calming down my pompom. It continually surprises me. I go, Oh God ! Another excuse to say it. Amazing

But what about: "As the actress said to the bishop"? Useful on so many occasions.

Love that one about the pompom. No idea what it means, but plan to use it tomorrow.

My mother's personal favourite threat(wheeled out when my brother and I fail to appreciate her motherly efforts at home)

'One day I'll be ill for a fortnight'

Her other current favourite is 'Why is Richard Hammond on EVERYTHING?' this is closely followed by the telly getting switched off
