Technology is a miracle, for armed only with an iPhone and a cellular network, I am able to inform you live and in real time (from the grimy caress of a not-yet moving train) that, for the third time in 9 months, I am in the same carriage as a man cutting his toenails.
Um. That is extremely impressive. I have never, in a long and storied career, shared train space with a public toenail cutter. Is it possible you have a toenail cutting stalker? Because I truly cannot fathom it.
NB - must know, as it could be important information for decision making in the unknown future, is this a Canadian thing?
NO IT IS NOT A CANADIAN THING, I am sure of it - and it's the same man, not a different one. He started in the summer, cutting the nails protruding from his sandals, then winter came and he just ... took off his boots. I think he might be a bit bonkers, but is otherwise harmless. Yep.
Better or worse than the bloke flossing his teeth opposite me in Heathrow T5? I can't decide.
Same risk of being hit by flying morsels, same chance of having to touch something they have just touched, similar conventions being flouted, pretty much equal disgust factor.
how OLD are you? you appear to have forgotten your promise on MONDAY to announce the winner of the latest NWM caption contest "tomorrow," which would have been TUESDAY, and here it is THURSDAY!
