Did you notice how all the London comments ignored the really important bit which is 1 degree C chaps - in October! And rising to a balmy 3 degrees by afternoon.
Well personally, I prefer the forecast in Drumheller (where incidently I am hoping to move to in a few months time) - unusual too but more to my liking!! (and if I knew how to include a pic in the comments, I would):
Drumheller
Forecast
Today Sunny with cloudy periods
* 22°C * -2°C *
Thu A mix of sun and cloud
* 8°C * -2°C *
Fri Sunny
* 20°C * 0°C *
Sat Sunny
* 18°C * 6°C *
Sun A mix of sun and cloud
* 13°C * 2°C *

Just be glad you're not in Ottawa. We've lost our power about five times already tonight.
well that's where you're wrong, young lady. I've seen nothing on Twitter but English people banging on about how it's snowing in London all day.
I, meanwhile, went out and bought a couple of sundresses, which I really wasn't expecting to need this November...
Snowing in London - 29/10/08.
Pah!
It's true. London, Tuesday 28 October: snow in the evening.
No need for snow tyres yet.

Yup, woke up to lots of snow this morning in Ottawa... My puppy didn't know what the frack it was.

It was in the low teens here today and is expected to be all week.
Low teens here today in the Vancouver region, too. Rain predicted for the next three or four days, though.
I know I'm coming a bit late to this debate, but I can offer photographic evidence: http://www.ouralbion.com/?p=207
