I Think About Appropriate Music For My Wedding And/Or Funeral

Do not worry.  There is no imminent suggestion of either my nuptials or death, but still: one likes to be prepared.

With this simple fact in mind, I have been reviewing appropriate musicks and have discovered, to my great satisfaction, that there is one piece of music that will fit both occasions very nicely:

*gasps in delight*

If only that had been available for my wedding! It would have been perfect.

Okay, maybe a bit too cheerful, considering, but still.

I'm sure it'll be appreciated at my funeral. If you don't mind me using it too.

The thought of the opening bars of this piece breaking the silence as you begin your stately procession down the aisle towards an awestruck pathologist brings tears to my eyes.

I have this as my ringtone and will play it often at my birthday party. It is also top of my funeral list, along with Dinner music for a bunch of hungry cannibals. I hope it's not too much for the guests, but they don't have to dance or anything, although that would be nice. I don't believe in marriage, so I'm kind of hoping people dance at my funeral.

all the best. economy custad

Might I suggest "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC as fitting for either. Sorry for that; I could not resist. I'll get my coat.

For the ner-a-wedding you should probably intro that properly with a few deep, sonorous, dramatic chords - you know, just to set the stage properly. Also, possibly a full reenactment of the video is in order - you and the pathologist can lope eagerly down the aisle, stop a few feet from the vicar, gaze in delight at him and then leap playfully to his shoulders. I'm sure he'll be happy to play the vital role of Tree.

You're a genius. Well, obviously, but it's worth repeating once in a while.

Awww, that is the best theme tune ever. Makes me go all nostalgic, in a happy-go-lucky kind of way.

It had better not be a long aisle, or undignified sprinting might be required
