But beware. If you do not stop soon, the same fate could befall you as befell the porky squirrel discussed in this online article, forwarded to me by MonkeyMother under the heading "URGENT - TRAPPED SQUIRRELY".
In other news, what the cock are these beavers doing in this eighteenth century German print? If this is what they thought North America was like, I wonder there were any German immigrants to North America at all!

Once again I shall step in what with all the wisdom I have and stuff. I will only address the foreground beavers as those behind are clearly merely decorative. From left to right: Beaver 1 has been paying decorous attentions to a fetching young sapling and has finally convinced it to return to the lodge to look over some etchings. Beavers 2 and 3 are commited groupies of beaver 4 who is regaling them with his special cover of Super Freak. Beaver 5 is taking advantage of the moment to furtively check his stash realizing that following the heartfelt tribute to Rick James there will be a lengthy medly of the high points of Michael Jackson's hits of the 80's and a chemically enhanced mental state is his only hope.
Tsk, tsk. Clearly, this print represents a scene in French Canadia and these beavers are the ancestors of Celine Dion and are lovingly delivering a moving rendition of "My Heart Will Go On."
The phrase "the clammy larder of your incontinent grandmother" will stay with me, I fear, for many months to come ...
Happy New Beaver!
There are apparently plans to reintroduce the beaver to Scotchland just as soon as people can learn to say "beaver" without smirking.
btw, I saw this and thought of you. Happy New Year, NWM!
