The people in the office in "downtown" (just like the films!) Montreal have many Apple Macintosh computers and eat bagels for breakfast (also just like the films!). They also (because Montreal is also sort of France) have a "cinq à sept" in the office on Thursday, which mainly involves drinking alcohol (with particular reference to single malt whisky) for up to and including four hours, on work premises, with work friends. Sometimes also they produce popcorn (completely like the films!), cooked in a "micro-ondes" that has a special popcorn setting! It is great there.
To my astonishment, one of the two Presidents (like the Presidents of France or indeed the United States), wears what I believe in this country is called "casual" wear to the office! He and his co-President both enjoy pastels, but it was with some astonishment that I viewed this particular jacket matched - if you can believe it - with 'sneakers' of similar sherbetty hues!*
My time with the clever internets people finished today and I was sad to say goodbye, but maybe - just maybe - I may see them again!! (God and Pathologists willing!!!)
* If I am to be entirely accurate, the photograph of this jacket was taken some two weeks ago in Amsterdam. However, the owner tells me that he often wears it, despite worried glimpses from his wife.
