Press the "Play" button on this. It's two minutes long. It is very funny. There is a monkey and Johnny Vegas, and many packets of PG Tips.
This is good too.
And this: one of the original Monkey and Johnny Vegas ads for ITV Digital, which went tits-up.
Then there's these. The genius that is "Pets.com. Because pets can't drive." Irrelevant, other than they also feature an animal puppet. Oh, and I've only just found this ad after being sad enough to look for it for a long, long time.

I am entirely non-plussed
What by, dear heart?
How was the dog sock puppet able to talk whilst wrestling a real dog with a stuffed toy in their mouths?
I am entirely amused though.
You are right, it makes no sense that the sock puppet can talk while mouth-wrestling. It totally ruins the complete rationality of the rest of the ad.
The knitted monkey is worth millions, you know. It was probably ITV Digital's only asset worth selling at the end. Isn't life funny?
That PG Tips ad should probably win an award. Didn't we all sighed with relief when we heard that the knitted monkey star escaped being tied to the radiator of a lorry - the fate of many soft toys that you will see any dustbin collection day.
