I hope things are going to get a little more 'jazzy'

Yes, it is true. Tomorrow I am leaving Canada for a month. I will first of all be engaged in covert operations in Paris (with brief sojourns to Amsterdam and London) for a fortnight.  On the 21st of December, I will leap aboard a TGV, accompanied by my 'husband',  and travel south to see my parents, who will meet us and drive us to their house in a village near Cognac. There, we will sample three flavours of Bailey's and play Trivial Pursuit, using questions published in 1983.

Life is Canada is of excellent quality and extremely pleasant, but my monkey sense - fuelled, as it is, by absinthe and Hula-Hoops - tells me that this web-blog may once again become more interesting, what with these instances of travel and amusement.  Who can tell?  It is probably better not to promise too much, but - fingers crossed!

What in cock's name is a London Routemaster bus (now out of commission, unless you are having a 'special event') doing in the middle of rural Quebec?  Someone put it on a boat once and sailed it across the sea.

I have made a new blog

Yes, it is true. I am being unfaithful, and now have "a bit on the side", in the form of a web-blog full of bad photographs of random foodstuffs and food-related items. "Why is that?", I hear you cry. The answer is simple:  90% of the time, I am thinking about what I am going to either cook or shop for or eat next.

I am also trying not to be such a fatty fatster, but this time (cough), it is quite easy and relatively entertaining.  "How can that be?", you murmur,  your loving synapses confused by memories of cake-chat and biscuits.  "Well", I reply, sucking on my small clay pipe and taking a minuscule sip from a glass of low-sugar absinthe, "I have realised that most of the fun is in the shopping and cooking and doing new things, and trying to cook delicious things that are good for you day after day is quite the challenge. Biscuit?"  True fact.

Anyway, this isn't a diet blog thing, no way José, yes sirree Bob.  It is just photographs of food-related items. It is here. Let me know what you think (as long as you are very complimentary).
