Read this wonderful blog. It does not look fancy (like mine does not look fancy, despite my various splendid Shelton-created illustrations), but when you read it you will find if very hard to stop. (But not in the style of a tube of Pringles which, apparently, "once you pop, you just can't stop" - it is far better than that; the crisp equivalent of, say, a Cape Cod sea salt crisp or good plain cake and a pot of tea; a box of Bendicks Bittermints or - dare I say it! - very hot crumpets and butter.)

In the meantime, I will move 2 IKEA bags of belongings from one rented flat in Montreal round the corner (literally) to another rented flat in Montreal, whilst I consider the offer on my flat in London. What larks!

I Wish You A Happy Halloween

No but really!!! What is this?! Last year's plans were scuppered, and since then I have been unable to approach Halloween with my customary vigour. As a result, this year I am going as an idiot which, as regular readers will be aware, entirely negates the need for a disguise of any kind.

I have however managed to gather the energy to offer you a short film of a very large pumpkin being dropped on a bus in Oregon sometime in the last century. It is excellent: I hope you enjoy it.
